How to Book Your Theory Test

Passing your theory test is the first big step towards getting your driving licence. Follow this simple guide step by step.

Step 1 – Check You’re Ready to Book

Before booking your theory test, you MUST:

Be at least 17 years old
Have a valid UK provisional driving licence
Make sure your licence details are correct
Have a debit or credit card ready for payment

Step 2 – Book Your Theory Test

Go to the official GOV website and follow these steps:

Click “Start now”
Enter your provisional licence number
Enter your email address

Mock Theory Tests

The night before:
